- Steamforged Games has officially announced a RuneScape board game and a tabletop role playing game (TTRPG) book.
- According to reports, fans of the longtime MMORPG will be able to get their hands on the board game and TTRPG book later this year.
- Steamforged shared that both games will highlight "fresh-but-faithful" adaptations of the many quests and characters from RuneScape's two-decade history; the board game will feature a one to five player campaign in the world of Gielinor, where ComicBook states "players will craft and upgrade equipment, upskill their characters, and take on a variety of different sidequests," while the TTRPG will have a hardcover rule book with instructions for character-building and guides.
- Phil Mansell of Jagex, the developers of RuneScape, shared that this will be the first time RuneScape is available outside of the digital world:"After more than 21 years of being exclusively available digitally, it's extremely exciting to be collaborating with Steamforged to create and deliver new RuneScape role-playing adventures to tabletop gamers.
