Gold futures down a second straight session, with prices losing $1 for the week

  • Gold futures ended lower on Friday for a second straight session, pulling prices for the precious metal down by $1 an ounce for the week.
  • Gold prices gave up early gains that came on the back of US employment data, which revealed a much smaller-than-expected rise in job creation last month.
  • December gold declined by $1.80, or 0 1%, to settle at $1,757.
