“I Think There’s Life Out There” Australian Scientists Search for Exoplanets

  • Australian scientists have recently detected radio signals from 19 red dwarf stars using Earth’s strongest antenna- the Low-Frequency Array located in the Netherlands (LOFAR).
  • A study detailing the findings was published on Monday in Nature Astronomy.
  • The study shows that four of those 19 stars are emitting signals that could mean there are planets orbiting.
